About the Training

Trauma-informed yoga goes beyond physical movement. It recognizes that trauma lives in the body and affects how people experience safety, connection, emotion, breath, and embodiment. This training teaches you how to facilitate yoga practices in ways that prioritize:

  • nervous system awareness

  • emotional and physical safety

  • accessibility and inclusivity

  • choice and autonomy

  • consent-based teaching

  • interoception and body awareness

  • empowerment and transformation

This is a 6 week online group training with live calls held over zoom. Each session will be about 2 hours long. At the end of the 6 weeks, each student will create their own trauma-informed class and teach a practicum in order to complete the training.

If you can’t make a training live, the recording will be emailed to you.

The training includes curriculum and training materials, as well as live trainings. Once you register, you will receive an email with all the details, training materials, and zoom link to join the training.
